Introduction to Glass Fusing
This course offers an introduction to kiln formed glass art using solely premier quality Bullseye glass. You will learn about design, glass cutting, fused glass compatibility, firing cycles and various decorative techniques using sheet glass, frits, stringers and confetti.
In the first half of the day, you will be designing and making one or two small hangings or coasters. In the afternoon, you will be able to choose your own ceramic mould to make a functional piece such as a dish or a candle screen which can be admired and enjoyed in your own living space.
The fusing and slumping in the kiln will take place after the workshop and the results can be collected or posted at
Royal Mail rates.
With over 20 years' teaching experience, classes are taught in an informal environment in my own garden studio in Altrincham, Cheshire, with small groups of 4 so that every participant can receive personalised tuition and encouragement.
