- Introduction to Glass Fusing
This one-day workshop offers an introduction to kiln formed
glass art using solely premier quality Bullseye glass. You
will learn about design, glass cutting, fused glass
compatibility, firing cycles and various decorative
techniques using sheet glass, frits, stringers and
In the first half of the day, you will be designing and making one or two small hangings or coasters. In the afternoon, you will be able to choose your own ceramic mould to make a functional piece such as a dish or a candle screen which can be admired and enjoyed in your own living space or given as a special gift.
The fusing and slumping in the kiln will take place after the workshop and the results can be collected or posted at Royal Mail rates.
With over 20 years' teaching experience, classes are taught in an informal environment in my own garden studio in Altrincham, Cheshire, with small groups of 4 so that every participant can receive personalised tuition and encouragement.
£80 including materials and refreshments throughout the day.
